To Our Patients...
Caring for you has been the most rewarding part of my career and I appreciate the trust you have shown in me by allowing me to do so. With a lot of joy, and a bit of sadness, I would like to let you know of my intention to retire and close my Plastic and Hand surgery practice after 41 amazing years.
The practice will officially close effective October 15, 2o21.
As you know, choosing a new physician/surgeon should be a personal choice and I highly recommend you consult your primary care physician, the county medical society, a local hospital, or your health care plan for a trusted referral.
If you would like to request a copy of your medical records to be forwarded to another physician please visit the "patient info" page on our website.
It is my wish and intention to make this as smooth a transition as possible and will make every effort to assist you in this process.

About Dr. Beatty
Dr. Michael E. Beatty is one of the most experienced plastic surgeons in the midwest. He has performed thousands of operations, emphasizing plastic & reconstructive surgery, cosmetic surgery, and surgery of the hand.
He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and maintains memberships in numerous professional societies, including the Madison County Medical Society, the Illinois State Medical Society, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Beatty is also a member of the American Association of Hand Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
In addition, Dr. Beatty holds a faculty appointment as Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, has served as President of the Madison County Medical Society and delegate to the Illinois State Medical Society.
